SEAMEO Co-organizes 5th Asia Education Leaders Forum and WorldDIDAC Asia Exhibition 2013

H E Mr Chaturon Chaisang, Minister of Education, Thailand presided over the opening ceremony of the international activity which is now on its fifth year and had attracted approximately 2,000 education policy makers, education directors, researchers and practitioners from Asia-Pacific countries and beyond.

Under the theme œSoutheast Asia Education, Working Together for Sustainable Future,  the Asia Education Leaders Forum became the regional gathering of high-ranking education decision makers who are keen to learn new ways to improve teaching and learning in their respective institutions.  More than 20 distinguished international speakers talked and shared recent innovations and research findings on teaching techniques, as well as best practices and case studies.  Many presentations also focused on preparing national and regional education providers for the ASEAN Community.

As a concurrent activity, the Worlddidac Asia 2013 exhibited a wide array of education and training materials.  The show has been considered as the largest international education exhibition in Southeast Asia. With the theme œThe New ASEAN Exhibition , the show included 120 exhibitors and leading educational manufacturers from 25 countries.  For three days, the exhibition attracted over 12,000 educators from ASEAN countries.

On the second day of the Worlddidac Asia Exhibition, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously visited the exhibition at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
