To further expand forms of cooperation, enrich exchange content, and implement the objectives of the China-ASEAN Year of People-to-People Exchanges as well as the educational cooperation framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), and the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, will jointly launch the “2026 China–ASEAN SEAMEO Creative Merchandise Design Competition.”

It aims to establish a cross-cultural innovation platform for Chinese and Southeast Asian institutions, identify innovative talent in the field of vocational education, promote the transformation and application of educational and skills-related outcomes, and strengthen in-depth integration between China and Southeast Asian countries in the fields of culture and skills.

Vocational and higher education institutions from China and SEAMEO Member Countries are eligible to participate in the Competition. Participation shall be organized by institution, with each team consisting of 3-5 students and accompanied by 1-2 instructors. Each institution may register up to 2 teams. Joint applications by Chinese institutions and Southeast Asia institutions are strongly encouraged.

1. Appendix 1: Registration Form (A scanned copy bearing the official seal of the institution, together with the Word version;)
2. Appendix 2: Design Description (Submitted in PDF format)
3. Design Files (A total of three (3) design images)
4. Appendix 3: Work Authorization and Originality Declaration (Submitted as a scanned copy)

All materials shall be compressed into a single ZIP file named as: “2026 SEAMEO Design Competition + Institution Name + Work Title”, with a total file size not exceeding 25 MB.

The ZIP file must be sent by 30 May 2026 to the following email address: seameocadesign@163.com, and copied (CC) to: secretariat@seameo.org (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization) and info@go-study.cn (Guangxi XUE ER SHI XING Commerce & Exhibition Co., Ltd.).

The email subject line should read: “2026 SEAMEO Design Competition + Institution Name + Work Title.”
