By implementing the SEAMEO Strategic Plan, the organization aims to strengthen regional cooperation, share best practices, and contribute to the improvement of education systems and human resource development in Southeast Asia. The SEAMEO Strategic Plan serves as a roadmap for SEAMEO’s activities and initiatives over a specific period of time, typically ranging from 5 to 10 years. The plan is developed through consultative process involving member countries and various stakeholders in the education sector. It takes into account regional priorities, emerging challenges, and the specific needs for member countries

  1. VISION & MISSION:
    The plan articulates SEAMEO’s vision for education and human resource development in Southeast Asia and outlines its mission to achieve the vision.
  2. STRATEGIC GOALS & OBJECTIVES:
    The plan identifies the key areas of focus and sets specific goals and objectives that need to be achieved within the given timeframe.
  3. PRIORITIY AREAS:
    The plan highlights specific priority areas in education, science, and culture that require attention and intervention. These priority areas were identified based on the needs of the region and the changing landscape of education, science, and culture.
  4. STRATEGIES & ACTIVITIES:
    The plan describes the strategies and activities that will be implemented to achieve the identified goals and objectives. This may include capacity-building programmes, policy advocacy, research initiatives, curriculum development, knowledge-sharing platforms, and collaborative projects among member countries.
  5. MONITORING & EVALUATION:
    The plan establishes mechanisms for monitoring progress and evaluating the impact of the implemented activities. It defines indicators and targets to measure the outcomes and effectiveness of the strategic plan.
