9 June 2023 – SEAMEO Director, Datuk Habibah Abdul Rahim, expressed her admiration and reflections on the remarkable achievements of Wat Koh Wang Sai School in Nakhon Pathom during the presentation of their successful integration of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) principles into their curriculum, pedagogy, and activities.


Impressed by the strong community support for this praiseworthy initiative, Director Datuk Habibah Abdul Rahim highlighted the school’s effective contextualization of SEP principles, enabling them to address sustainability issue within the community more efficiently.  The visit to Wat Koh Wang Sai School served as a notable highlight during the 1st Extraordinary Governing Board Meeting of SEAMEO SEPS, held from 8 to 10 June 2023 in Sampran, Nakhon Pathom.

The Wat Koh Wang Sai School’s implementation of the SEP principles has been met with commendation from various stakeholders in the education sector.  By incorporating these principles into their everyday practices, the school has not only fostered a deeper understanding of sustainable living among its students but has also encouraged active community involvement.
