The 2nd SEAMEO KM Learning and Sharing Forum was organised by SEAMEO SEARCA on 22-23 August 2023 in Los Baños, Philippines, with the participation of KM staff and related officers/specialists from SEAMEO Centres. In the forum, we defined Knowledge Management (KM) as the systematic process of managing knowledge, starting from documentation, storage, and communication. Nevertheless, it would not be called Knowledge Management (KM) if it does not lead to the creation of other innovations.

However, achieving the KM process as mentioned above can be challenging due to various reasons such as a shortage of staff, workload, and others. Therefore, to facilitate the staff responsible for KM in reducing some of their burdens and to ensure that the KM process achieves the expected outcomes, this KM Forum has been organised to introduce a widely popular technology, Generative AI, to enhance the capabilities of the staff responsible for KM.

Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an artificial intelligence technology that can efficiently help in creating needed outputs and significantly reduce the time required for analysis or content generation, provided that the user has an initial idea to start the process for the Generative AI. The outputs generated using Generative AI can take various forms, which users can utilise or further develop creatively in many ways.

To enhance the capacity of Knowledge Management or related units at the SEAMEO Centres, the SEAMEO Secretariat would like to virtually organise the 3rd SEAMEO KM Learning and Sharing Forum: AI-driven Knowledge Management on 15 August 2024 at 13.30-15.30 hrs (BKK Time/GMT+7) and 22 August 2024 at 14.00-14.40 hrs (BKK Time/GMT+7).
