A. Introduction

The SEAMEO-AUS EduLink Project on ePortfolios in Education was a winner of the 2021/2022 SEAMEO Australia Education Links Award. Led by Dr Nantana Taptamat, the University of Queensland, Australia in collaboration with Dr Siti Muflichah, Universitas Islam Negeri Antasari Banjarmasin, Indonesia, this project has been implemented from July 2021 to date.

SEAMEO-AUS EduLink on ePortfolios in Education consists of two interrelated elements: A teacher professional development program (TPD) and online community of practice (CoP). The TPD involves 2 online self-paced courses and 4 webinar series on practices and principles of collaborative pedagogies and authentic assessment using ePortfolios. The online CoP consists of over 300 members who interact with one another and course material through the CoP platform (https://nantanalearn.com/).

In this seminar, the SEAMEO-AUS EduLink stakeholders (its members, and guest speakers) will share their key learning with the audience. The ultimate goal of this webinar is to propose innovative pedagogies and future collaboration between Australia, Southeast Asia and beyond.

 

B. Objectives and Expected Outcomes

This webinar aims to:

  1. Provide insight into practices and principles of using ePortfolios in education;
  2. Share preliminary project results on affordance and challenges of teacher community of practice in professional development;
  3. To enable opportunity for future collaboration between existing members and stakeholders and future collaborators.

After participation in this meeting, the audience develop understanding of:

  1. Practices and principles of using ePortfolios in education with real world examples;
  2. Affordance and challenges of online community of practice and remote collaboration using SEAMEO-AUS EduLink as a case study;
  3. Available opportunity for future collaboration/ engagement.
