The Southeast Asia Primary Learning Metrics (SEA-PLM) is a regional assessment aiming at setting a common approach to assessing learning outcomes at primary grade 5 students.

 

The SEA Teacher Project or the “Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia” is a project that aims to provide opportunity for pre-service student teachers from universities in Southeast Asia to have teaching experiences (practicum) in schools in other countries in Southeast Asia. 

Based on the SEAMEO seven priority areas for the eleven SEAMEO Member countries to work together to improve the quality of education in Southeast Asia, “Revitalizing Teacher Education” is one of the priority areas in building and strengthening capacity of teachers in the region.

 

Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) has been identified as one of the seven priority areas for educational development in Southeast Asia from 2015 to 2035. This was officially confirmed by the Southeast Asian ministers of education at the Strategic Dialogue of Education Ministers (SDEM) meeting held in Lao PDR in September 2014.

 

SEAMEO Schools’ Network

The SEAMEO Schools’ Network was established to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of SEAMEO in 2015.

The SEAMEO Schools’ Network provides great opportunities and helps educational institutions to improve capacity of administrators, teachers, and students through various capacity developments programmes of SEAMEO and 24 SEAMEO Regional Centres such as online training programmes, student exchange activities, digital classrooms, regional competitions/awards, and international seminars/conferences

 

SEA-CREATIVE CAMP

TVET has been identified as one of the seven priority areas of SEAMEO Education Agenda for development in Southeast Asia, which were agreed at the Strategic Dialogue of Education Ministers (SDEM) meeting in September 2014.
