If we were to compare life to a journey, the role of SEAMEO is to ensure that we have provided rest stops for travelers located at each intersection where they choose to venture. These rest stops offer the necessary replenishment for travelers to continue their journey smoothly on whichever path they decide to take.

SEAMEO has 26 specialist institutions throughout the Southeast Asian region, with a mission to promote knowledge and facilitate education opportunities for people, from early childhood to life-long learning. They undertake research programmes and trainings in fields of education, science, and culture; designed to cater to the potential and interests of each individual, while also pushing those with educational limitations to overcome difficulties and achieve their goals.
