UNESCO

UNESCO Bangkok promotes international co-operation, sets standards and disseminates information in the fields of education, the natural sciences, the social and human sciences, culture and communication. As the Asia and Pacific Regional Bureau for Education covering 47 countries, it is the technical advisory body to all field offices and Member States of the region and the site of regional programmes in most areas covered by the Education Sector. As a cluster office, UNESCO Bangkok is also the principal coordinator of UNESCO activities, across sectors, in the Mekong region, working directly with UNESCO National Commissions and other partners in Lao PDR, Myanmar, Singapore and Thailand.

MAHIDOL University

Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia (RILCA) was established in 1974, having the status of an independent faculty of Mahidol University.
Realizing the importance of language and culture as a means to promote good understanding among people, the main research and study areas of ILCRD have been geared towards the multiplicity of languages, cultures and beliefs of the people in the region. The institute provides training and research opportunities for MA and PhD students in the fields of Linguistics, Cultural Studies and Language and Communication for Development.

SIL

SIL International is a nonprofit organization committed to serving ethnolinguistic minority communities worldwide and building capacity for sustainable language-based development by means of research, translation, training and materials development. SIL recognizes that multilingualism promotes unity in diversity and international understanding and regularly participates in activities that highlight minority languages and cultures.
Since its beginning in 1934, SIL International's linguistic investigation has exceeded 2,400 languages spoken by over 1.7 billion people in more than 70 countries. As a nongovernmental organization, SIL has special consultative status with UNESCO and the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations.

UNICEF

For 60 years UNICEF has been the world's leader for children, working on the ground in 155 countries and territories to help children survive and thrive, from early childhood through adolescence. The world's largest provider of vaccines for developing countries, UNICEF supports child health and nutrition, good water and sanitation, quality basic education for all boys and girls, and the protection of children from violence, exploitation, and AIDS. UNICEF is funded entirely by the voluntary contributions of individuals, businesses, foundations and governments.

SEAMEO

The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) is a chartered international organization, established in 1965, to promote cooperation in education, science and culture in Southeast Asia. SEAMEO works towards achieving this through the establishment of networks and partnerships, provision of intellectual forums for policy makers and experts, and promotion of sustainable human resource development. SEAMEO develops and nurtures the capacities of teachers and school managers in Southeast Asia through its network of 19 specialist institutions that undertake training and research programmes in various fields of education, science and culture.

CARE International

CARE tackles underlying causes of poverty so that people can become self-sufficient. Recognizing that women and children suffer disproportionately from poverty, CARE places special emphasis on working with women to create permanent social change. Women are at the heart of CARE's community-based efforts to improve basic education, prevent the spread of HIV, increase access to clean water and sanitation, expand economic opportunity and protect natural resources. CARE also delivers emergency aid to survivors of war and natural disasters, and helps people rebuild their lives.

Save the Childern

Save the Children is the world’s largest independent organisation for children, creating real and lasting change for children around the world. It advocate for better programmes and policies to fulfil children's rights; promote child participation and ensure that children’s voices are heard – particularly those children most marginalised or living in poverty. From emergency work to long-term development, Save the Children helps children to achieve a happy, healthy and secure childhood by securing and protecting children’s rights to food, shelter, healthcare, education, participation, and protection. Save the Children is made up of 29 national organisations working to make a difference to children’s lives in over 120 countries.

The Royal Institute is a department of the Government of Thailand that is directly supervised by the prime minister, but does not form a part of any ministry. The functions of the Royal Institute as laid down in the law are to: (1) To undertake and encourage research in every branch of knowledge beneficial to the nation and the people; (2) To maintain relations and to exchange knowledge and information in all branches of knowledge with other learned institutes in Thailand and in other countries; (3) To act as a consultant and advisory body on academic matters as requested by the prime minister or the cabinet; (4) To give academic help to governmental, semi-governmental, non-governmental, educational and private organizations as well as the general public; (5) To compile dictionaries, encyclopedias, terminologies in all fields of knowledge, and coin new words; (6) To establish criteria of Thai usage in order to preserve and promote the Thai language, a national identity; and (7) Other functions as prescribed by law.

AIT

ASEAN Regional Center of Excellence on MDGs (ARCMDG) was established at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, during the 2008 ASEAN Regional Roundtable on "ECOSOC's Promotion and Achievement of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) through Education and Outreach". ARCMDG works in close collaboration with the stakeholders for the promotion, education, research and trainings on MDGs throughout the region. The center has been welcomed by the UN Secretary-General as the world’s first Regional Center of Excellence on MDGs.

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) promotes technological change and sustainable development in the Asian-Pacific region through higher education in more than 30 established postgraduate programs, undergraduate program in engineering, research and outreach activities. AIT is home to 2200 students from more than 40 countries. It has about 120 faculties from 30 countries, centers in Vietnam and Indonesia, and over 400 research and outreach projects.

AIT

ASPBAE is a regional association of organizations committed to promoting Education for All, adult education, and learning. It works with over 200 organizations in the Asia South Pacific region and aims to build a regional movement for the right to access to relevant, quality, and empowering education and learning opportunites for all. ASPBAE works with civil society organizations, national education coalitions, and other campaign networks to hold governments accountable in fulfilling their obligations towards education.
