•It is an expression of radiant thinking

•It unlocks the potential of brain

•It makes the mind systematic e.g -

Hence, Mind Mapping increases mental

 storage capacity

Steps involved

in

“Experiential Learning”

The Process

Step 1

Calm the students (restful state of  mind)

 

  - Prayer

    - Silent sitting

Step 2

A theme is given to the students by

writing it in the centre of the board

 

**The theme should be of interest to the

   children

**Children should have some knowledge about the topic

Step 3

This is known as Mind Mapping

• Words related to the theme given by the students
• The words are written on the board
• There is no limit to what words come up
• Students can be divided into groups

 

Step 4

This is known as web-charting

• Words categorised into groups by

   the students

• General tendency of students to

  categorize on the basis of subjects

Step 5

 

• Students are divided into groups.
• Grouping of students should be in such a way that all students are able to participate.
• Each group takes one category or subpart of the web chart according to their interest.
• The groups perform activities for each subpart, on the basis of the subjects.

• Pre-presentation

• Final presentation

Points to be remembered

•Experiential Learning may go on for 6  to 16  hours, but it can be more.
• Students should find out information on   their own.
• Prompting by the teacher can be done only  when required.
