Focus Group Discussion on Extent of students’ suggestions of practical ways to overcome the problem of water pollution.

Objectives of Discussion:

  1. To find out the students’ knowledge of ways to overcome the problem of water pollution
  2. To obtain students’ opinions about the possibility and their willingness to carry out those suggestions

Moderator’s script:

  1. First, in our discussion today, there is no right or wrong answer. We are interested to hear about your suggestions of how to overcome water pollution.
  1. Second, you shouldn’t feel that you have to agree with everyone else in this room of that’s not how you really feel. There are 10 people in this group and we expect that people will have different ideas and it is important that we learn about all the suggestions that are mentioned here.
  1. Third, we want you to feel comfortable saying usual ways as well as unusual ones. We just want you to voice your suggestions freely.
  1. Fourth, we request that you talk one at a time so that we can be sure to hear everyone’s suggestions and get them on tape.
