Objectives:

The study visit component is designed to enable the participants to gain first-hand knowledge on the primary education system in Thailand. Over the week-long study visit, the participants are expected to gain an appreciation of:

• the administrative and management processes in primary education
• teacher training
• roles and responsibilities of principals and teachers at the primary education level; and
• salary, rewards and review systems for teachers and education workers
