General Netr Khemayodhin is decorated a "First-class Medal of the Order of Education and Culture" by the Minister of Education of Vietnam, H E Ngo khac Tinh, at the Vietnamese Embassy, Vientiane, 1972. |
| On January 28, 1972, the Government of the Republic of
Vietnam at its Embassy in Vientiane, presented him with a First-Class Medal of the
Order of Education and Culture. The citation read: "As Director of SEAMEO Secretariat from February 1970 to February 1972 General netr Khemayodhin has contributed much to the develoment of education in the countries of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization of which Vietnam is a member. Under his dynamic leadership the various Regonal Centres have made great progress in the past few years in the training of Qualified educators and in research in the various fields of Education, Science and Culture which are vital tot he progress of the Southeast Asian region and, in particular, of Vietnam. The Government of the Republic of Vietnam also appreciates the efforts made by General Netr Khemayodhin for the development of the Innotech Regional Centre which is sponsored by Vietnam and for the preparations for the transfer of this Centre to its permanent site in Saigon in July 1972. The government of Republic of Vietnam hereby records its appreciation to General Netr Khemayodhin for the invaluable services he rendered to the SEAMEO and to the Republic of Vietnam during his term of office and presents him with a First-class Medal of the Order of Education and Culture." |
