Pain Machine

This stand alone exhibit shows that pain sensors don’t only report damage, but also report conditions which might cause damage. The machine produces a very high frequency mechanical vibration. The motor which produces this vibration operates at around 600 Hertz (cycles per second). By comparison, electrical current from the power company vibrates at 60 Hertz.
