Columbus, OH – They're big, they're loud and they're back at COSI! Big Machines including a bulldozer, concrete truck and a crane will take over COSI's West Plaza June 15-23, 2013.
More than 20 pieces of construction equipment will be at COSI. Kids will get their own hard hat to wear while they dig and move sand or operate the controls a real mini-excavator or a telescoping forklift. If guests want a training session before trying out the real thing a virtual simulator of an excavator makes operating the machine as easy as playing a video game. For the youngest guests, climb in the driver's seat of several big pieces of equipment or play with construction toys just like the real thing.
Construction industry workers from the Ohio Contractors Association and Ohio Operating Engineers Apprenticeship & Training program will be on hand to explain how they use this massive equipment to do their jobs. They'll also perform crane demonstrations throughout the week.
The Science of Big Machines will be on display at COSI June 15 through June 23 and is open during normal COSI hours: Monday – Saturday 10am – 5pm and Sunday, noon – 6pm. Admission to this exhibit is included with regular COSI admission. For more information visit COSI's Web site at cosi.org or call 614.228-2674.
The Science of Big Machines is created and made possible by the Ohio Contractors Association and Operating Engineers Apprenticeship & Training and is presented by Bob Evans.
