7.2.2012 (Columbus) – COSI will display ten state Finalists’ Doodle 4 Google 2012 doodles starting July 4, 2012. Doodle 4 Google is one of several efforts by Google to encourage and celebrate the creativity of young people by asking students to create their own Google doodle. The theme this year was “If I could travel in time, I’d visit…” Students from all over Ohio and the world entered the Doodle 4 Google contest which gives students a blank canvas to harness their curiosity and imagine past, present, and/or future anywhere in the world.
“We’re delighted to display the ten state finalist’s Doodles here at COSI this summer,” said David E. Chesebrough, Ed.D, President & CEO of COSI. “Creativity and imagination is often at the core of science and is part of what COSI supports through our experiences and programs. These Doodles show a lot of creativity and inspiration and are appropriately showcased at COSI.”
A team of Googlers and then guest judges – such as Katy Perry, Phineas and Ferb creator and executive producer Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, and recording artist Jordin Sparks –helped choose the winning doodles.
