How soon after my purchase will my recipient’s membership begin?

When you purchase a gift membership, you will have the option whether to activate the membership right away or to issue a gift certificate which can be mailed to you or the gift recipient.

If the gift membership is activated right away, membership cards will be sent to the recipient and will expire the following year at the end of the month purchased, or 12 months after their current membership’s expiration date. Please be prepared to share gift recipient’s full name, mailing address, contact information, and the names/birthdates of dependant children ages 18 and under when choosing this option.

If a gift certificate is chosen, the recipient’s membership will not be active until he or she returns the completed gift certificate. Gift certificates can be turned in at COSI or through the mail.
