Magnets

Learn about poles, create a maglev train, feel electromagnetic forces, and learn how they relate to COSI’s Ring Launcher.

My Hands

Based on the book My Hands by Aliki. Rolling, squishing, clapping or patting – all are things I can do with my hands! Develop both fine and gross motor skills while exploring what our hands can do.

Magnetic Levitation

Participants can see how strong magnetic poles can repel each other with these floating discs. As they press down on the disc, they can feel the magnets forcing the disc skyward. They also see how magnetic levitation can be used for such new technology as maglev trains.

Messy Science

Get dirty with some of COSI’s best “messy” experiments: flubber, gack, slime, barfing pumpkins, boogers, germs, and soda geysers! Combine the July 8-12 half-day version of this camp with "Astronaut Adventures" (July 8-12, 9am-Noon) for a full-day camp.

MythBusters

Dive deeper into COSI’s "MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition" as we take a closer look at some of the myths busted on the show and check out the science behind popular legends.

Includes a field trip and a Thursday night overnight stay at COSI.
