Dear scholarship applicant:

Thank you for your interest in attending the 2nd International Conference on Language Development, Language Revitalization and Multilingual Education in Ethnolinguistic Communities. We look forward to your participation in the conference.

The Scholarship Committee will apply the following criteria in reviewing applications for scholarships to attend the conference:

  1. Applicant is not a member of any of the conference sponsoring organizations (SIL, ILRCD, SEAMEO, UNICEF, UNESCO, Care and Save the Children UK);
  2. Applicant will present a paper at the conference;
  3. Applicant is associated with a language development, language revitalization and/or multi-lingual education program in an ethnolinguistic community;
  4. Applicant is a member of an ethnolinguistic community and wants to initiate a program as listed in #3 above;
  5. Applicant has made efforts to raise funds or partial sponsorship from other sources.

We encourage you to request your own agency or organization or the local offices of one of the sponsoring organizations (listed in #1 above) for funding to attend the conference.  If you need letters or supporting documentation from the Conference for this, please write to langdevelbkk_info@sil.org.

To apply for a scholarship, please complete the application form below. You may attach an additional page if you would like to provide more details about your interest in the conference.
