The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Secretariat (SEAMEO Secretariat) in collaboration with Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya (PENS) hosted the 3rd SEAMEO Polytechnic Network Meeting: Implementation for the 2nd Batch of SEA-TVET Student Internship Exchange and SEA-TVET 3-2-1 Dual Programme on 5-6 April 2018 at Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya, Surabaya, Indonesia.  Approximately 75 institutions, 140 participants from Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and Thailand took part in the network meeting.

The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Secretariat (SEAMEO Secretariat) in collaboration with the Department of Technical and Vocational Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, Indonesia and SMA Selamat Pagi Indonesia organised the Workshop on Modeling TVET Colleges for Entrepreneurship on 7 April 2018 at SMA Selamat Pagi Indonesia, Malang, Indonesia.  The workshop was participated by approximately 75 technical and vocational schools from Indonesia and 4 TVET Colleges, 12 participants from Thailand and Philippines.

“Revitalizing Teacher Education” is one of the priority areas under the SEMEO Education Agenda marked to make teaching a priority of choice and to improve practice-based reforms utilizing the teacher competency standards. In order to fulfill this mandate, the SEAMEO Secretariat has embarked to promote “Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia (SEA-Teacher Project)” since 2016. SEA TEACHER aims to promote global competitiveness of pre-service student teachers in Southeast Asia countries through active student exchange.
