The Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC), Ministry of Education, Thailand in cooperation with the SEAMEO Secretariat organized the 3rd Meeting of Inter-Country Student Exchange with Industries (Thailand-Indonesia Collaboration): Concluding Agreement and Implementation Plan on 14-15 December 2017 at the Minburi Technical College, Bangkok, Thailand.

The objectives of the meeting were to discuss on the curriculum harmonization of TVET Diploma programmes between Indonesia and Thailand; to discuss and identify the implementation plan for the inter-country student exchange in the areas of Mechatronics and Hospitality & Tourism and to explore the collaborations among participating TVET institutions from Thailand and Indonesia.

The meeting attended by 27 participating TVET colleges in Hospitality and Mechatronics from Indonesia and Thailand and opened by Dr Gatot Hari Priowirjanto, Director of SEAMEO Secretariat and Mr Suthep Kaengsanthai by the Office of the Vocational Education Commission. Directors, Deputy Directors and Teachers from TVET technical and vocational colleges discussed on the details of implementation plan for student exchange and industry internship such as the period, programme structure, preparations, and evaluation & reporting mechanism.

During the meeting the participants had a chance to visit and observe the facilities and learning activities in Minburi Technical College and Saowabha Vocational College to figure out the common practices and examples of good practice as well as to identify improvement opportunities and create a competitive environment within the organizations.
